RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Living Word Family Church will host a free dental clinic on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Raleigh.

Outreach Pastor Jamie Tobler is expecting a big crowd to congregate at Living Word Family Church on Saturday for the free service.

"We've got a free dental clinic," explains Tobler.

This is the seventh year the church has held the free dental clinic, and Tobler is never surprised by how many people need the care.

"I'm not really surprised," said Tobler. "I don't have dental insurance and sometimes we just neglect our teeth. And I don't know if you've ever had any issues with your teeth, but it just ruins your life."

That's exactly why the church is trying to help. Saturday, the church is helping to get those in need of basic dental services to providers.

"We're offering services to people that need extractions, cleanings or fillings," said Tobler.

Tobler says the best advice he can give is for people to arrive early. Patients will line up and check in at the church then will be bussed to the offices of two nearby dentists.

"We actually work with a lot of dentists," said Tobler. "But there are two that actually close down their practices for this. Dr. Craig Adams from Adams and Cheek Dentistry and Dr. Steven Hamrick from Raleigh Periodontics, they're shutting down their offices completely just so [they] can see the people from the community."

Anyone over the age of five can be treated. The lines usually begin very early, some even camping overnight, but staff will try to accommodate as many as possible.

"We do cut it off whenever we see we're not going to be able to handle anymore," said Tobler. "And we'll let everybody know as much in advance."

In previous years, hundreds have been treated in one day.

No advance notice is needed. Patients should arrive early on Saturday for the best chance to be seen.

"It's completely free," said Tobler. "Completely free."
