Celebrity wedding expert Randy Fenoli coming to Raleigh
RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Randy Fenoli is known around the world as an energetic and passionate fashion director, designer, author of It's All About The Dress and host of hit shows Say Yes To The Dress and Randy To The Rescue.
Fenoli is scheduled to make an appearance at the Southern Women's Show on Sunday, April 26th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and before he takes the stage, he caught up with ABC11 via Skype to give some wedding planning tips.
"Hello beautiful, Raleigh! I'm excited to come to the Southern Women's Show," said Fenoli.
"I talk to women and try to educate, elevate, and empower. Those are my three E's. At The Southern Women's Show, I'm not only going to be focusing on bridal that much, because this is about women. This is about body types," Fenoli explained.
Fenoli says when it comes to a bridal gown or any formal dress, alterations are key.
"You really need to spend money on alterations to make sure the dress fits like a glove," said Fenoli. "Because it's not always how much you spend on the dress. Number one, it's how you wear it and number two, it has to fit beautifully!"
A wedding budget is also one of the first steps for a couple according to Fenoli.
"Making a budget, that's number one," he said.
"Because, you don't want to let it be the day after the wedding and find out your in debt."
The next step is to prioritize.
"Decide what's important to you and that's what you should spend your money on," Fenoli said. "What are the things that are important to you and your fiance?"
And, when it comes to splurging for your wedding, Fenoli says buy for the long term.
"If you're going to splurge-splurge on something you're going to be taking away from the wedding," he said. "For instance, a great pair of shoes. Splurge on the photographer or videographer because that's what you're going to walk away with those photos or videos or memories."
