KFC is said to have a lot of "finger-licking" items on its menu, and now the fast food eatery can add "finger-licking" coffee cups to its spread, USA Today reports.

KFC is testing out 100% edible coffee cups. "Scoff-ee Cups" are made from a special, wafer-like biscuit, then wrapped in sugar paper and lined with a layer of heat-resistant white chocolate. KFC spokeswoman Jocelyn Bynoe says the chain has been experimenting with edible packaging for a while, and it recently decided to test the cups out in some stores in the U.K.

"If our customers occasionally like to have their cake and eat it," Bynoe told USA Today, "why wouldn't they want to have their cup and eat it, instead?"

Right now, it's unclear how many calories are packed into the edible cups. Darby Hoover, Senior Resource Specialist at the Natural Resources Defense Council, said the cups are mostly aimed at environmentally-minded Millennials.

"Companies that make these packages have an obligation to help ensure those packages aren't wasted," Hoover said. "Edible packaging has the potential to be a meaningful part of that opportunity."

There are no plans yet to make "Scoff-ee Cups" available in stores in the U.S. KFC wants to make sure, with its testing in the U.K., that the cups work perfectly every time.
