Morrisville researchers create DEET free, non-toxic insect repellent

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- With the amazing temperatures we have been having this summer you want to cookout, go camping and just enjoy the outdoors. However, it also means dealing with the bugs!

A local company has created a new, safe product to keep the pesky bugs from biting you.

Researchers at the Tyratech lab in Morrisville have created the Guardian - a DEET free bug spray. They say it's non-toxic, plant based and promises to keep the mosquitoes and ticks away.
