RALEIGH (WTVD) -- For the second time in two months, a Garner man has faced a judge in a Wake County courtroom. This time, 41-year-old Andrews Meeks was hit with a murder charge.

Meeks was arrested Thursday in connection with the disappearance of 44-year-old Jennifer Ann Arrington who was vanished August 12.

She was last seen on Schaub Drive near her home.

Arrington's two-door white Nissan Altima, which was reported missing, was eventually found in Illinois and Meeks is accused of stealing the vehicle.

He has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, assault on a female, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and first-degree murder - which "carries a maximum punished of either life without parole or the death penalty," District Court Judge Eric Chasse explained.

Meeks and Arrington knew each other, but officials will not say what type of relationship the two had.

Police have not yet found her body.

A spokesperson for the department said detectives gathered enough evidence to present to the district attorney and the charge was filed.

Meeks is scheduled to be back in court October 19.
