1 killed in crash at NCSU's Fraternity Court

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on N.C. State's campus Saturday night.

N.C. State University police responded to the collision on Fraternity Court around 10:06 p.m.

A motorcycle driven by Matthew Edward Billings, 23, struck the rear of an SUV driven by Cameron J. White, 18, police said.

Billings was taken to WakeMed where he was pronounced dead. Police said Billings was not a student.

White is listed as an NCSU student, and his condition was not released.

Police are still investigating. Authorities believe speed was a factor, but it is not clear whether alcohol was involved.

No charges have been filed.
