RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A Pizza Hut employee was struck in the head with a handgun during a robbery in Raleigh.

Police said it happened around 1 a.m. Sunday at the 4011 Capital Boulevard store. The suspect reportedly entered the store alone and robbed it at gunpoint.

The suspect hit the employee in the head with his gun. That employee, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital and treated for the injury.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-35 years old. He stands about 6 feet tall, has an average build, and was wearing jeans, a green and white shirt, and sneakers with neon-colored trim on them.
