DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police chased a stolen car that rammed into a patrol car Thursday evening, but the suspect is still on the run.
Police said the suspect jumped out on University Drive and Vickers Avenue and ran from officers around 5:30 p.m.
Authorities do not have the suspect in custody. Our crew on the scene said a woman was handcuffed while they searched for the driver, but authorities have not confirmed that information.
Police did say, however, that the female passenger in the stolen car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver who fled the scene was described as a black male with a slim build, standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, and wearing dark clothing. He appeared to be in his late 20s.
