RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police served a search warrant Thursday night in the 3200 block of Huntleigh Drive in connection with a drug investigation and found a methamphetamine lab inside the single-family residence.

A man and woman were taken into custody in connection with the drug activity. Two children, ages 7 and 1 were removed from the home and taken for precautionary medical evaluation in accordance with standard procedures for such situations.

Forty-three-year-old Robert Kennerley and 28-year-old Melissa Goshall are charged with making and trafficking methamphetamine.

There are no known injuries. No evacuations were made, but Huntleigh Drive was closed off to traffic while police did their work.

A neighbor, Anthony Smith expressed shock at the arrest.

"That's crazy," Smith said. "They should be locked up for a while. A long time. We don't want it in our neighborhood. If I'd seen it, I'd call the police in a heartbeat."
