Man wanted in Fayetteville rape

The Fayetteville Police Department is searching for a man wanted in the rape of an acquaintance Saturday in the area of Briar Circle and Owen Drive.

Detectives have arrest warrants for 28-year-old James Edward Daniel II charging him with three counts of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sex offense, first-degree kidnapping, breaking and entering, felony strangulation, and assault on a female.
