6 found dead in Chicago home

CHICAGO -- Six people were found dead Thursday afternoon in a home in the Gage Park neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side.

The bodies were found during a welfare check in the 5700-block of South California around 1:30 p.m. Authorities say it is believed the victims were stabbed.

Police confirmed a homicide investigation is underway. The victims were four men, one woman and one child, a police source said.

Firefighters responded to the scene, but no one was transported, according to Fire Media Affairs.
