Little Hats, Big Hearts program helps raise awareness

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Lots of people wore red Friday to help raise awareness of heart disease...and so did the Triangle's newest residents.

Friday was National "Go Red" day. ABC11 visited WakeMed where newborns were getting in on the push.

Volunteers with the American Heart Association handed out little red hats to babies.

The "Little Hats, Big Hearts" program educates parents about the importance of heart health.
