Man shot near downtown Raleigh

A man was shot Thursday afternoon in Raleigh near East Lenoir and Swain streets, police said.

Shortly after 5:40 p.m. Raleigh police responded to a shooting call and found a man who was the victim of a gunshot in his lower torso.



He was taken to WakeMed with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

His name has not been released.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
