Police search for gunman who robbed Wendell bank

WENDELL (WTVD) -- Wendell police are looking for a man who robbed the KS Bank at 2850 Wendell Blvd. on Thursday.

It happened about 3:30 p.m. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers spoke to witnesses who said a man entered the bank and displayed a handgun. There were no customers in the bank at the time and no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing a black hat with white lettering, a black-and-gray bandanna on his face, a light-colored coat and black gloves.
