Pedestrian found hit on Durham road

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Authorities in Durham are investigating a pedestrian accident after a man was found lying in the middle of the road early Monday morning.

It happened just after 6 a.m. on South Miami Boulevard near Lumley Road.

When authorities arrived, they found the man in the roadway after he was side-swiped by the mirror of a car in a passing vehicle, according to police. He was put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
