Raleigh church hosts large consignment sale

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Hayes Barton Baptist Church in the Five Points area of Raleigh is hosting a kids consignment event Friday, March 4 to Saturday, March 5. Shoppers can find big savings on gently used kids clothing, toys, furniture, and baby equipment.

This sale happens twice a year and is a big fundraiser for the Glenwood Avenue church.

"Consignors keep 60 percent and the church keeps 40 percent," explained event organizer Diane Willeford.

"We also allow consignors to donate their items if they don't sell at the end of the sale, and they go to 10 different charities," Willeford said. "They go to Note In The Pocket which puts clothing in to Wake Co. Public Schools, it goes to Catholic Parish Outreach, Helping Hand Mission, and First Baptist Clothing Closet."

The KidsStuff Sale is open to the public from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, March 4 and many items are 1/2 price on Saturday, March 5 from 8 a.m.-noon.
