RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Children from all over North Carolina and the U.S. travel to the Triangle for medical treatments. The Ronald McDonald House of Durham and Wake helps those families by giving them a place to stay while they're in town.

The Ronald McDonald House in Durham has 55 bedrooms and is located just minutes away from Duke Hospital. The Wake County house has five rooms and is located within the Heart Center Inn at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh. Both homes offer families a comfortable place to stay and a support system while their children are hospitalized.

On Friday, March 4, The Ronald McDonald House of Durham and Wake will hold its annual fundraising gala. The Hearts of Gold Gala will take place at the Angus Barn Pavilion in Raleigh. The event starts at 6:30pm.
