HICKORY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two people are dead after a shooting outside a McDonald's in Hickory.

One of the victims, Richelle Lail, 22, died Wednesday night at the scene. The other victim, Cody Watts, 28, was hospitalized and died Friday.

The shooting happened just after 6 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the restaurant. Officials said Watts and Lail were managers and that the shooting was domestic related.

Police arrested a suspect, 22-year-old Eric Yount, a short time after and charged him with murder.

Family members said Yount and Lail have two children together and dated for some time.

Yount remains locked up without bond.
