Must-See Weather: Tornado forms over Illinois
WATCH AS A TWISTER FORMS FROM A WALL CLOUD IN ILLINOIS
Let's start in Illinois, this video shows a dark and ominous wall cloud, swirling in the sky. Lightning strikes nearby. Then, within seconds, a funnel drops down and we see a tornado on the ground. The photographers were incredibly close to the storm as it raced through the town of Good Hope. It was bad timing for Election Day.
TORNADOES DAMAGE FARMS IN ILLINOIS
Farmers in Illinois are also cleaning up after tornadoes moved in. Barns were badly damaged, and horses were left without a home. Metal roofs were ripped to shreds and deposited nearby on the ground. Vehicles were badly damaged and a hay bales were piled into a mountain of chaos, to be sorted.
FOG AND HAIL CAUSE A GHOULISH SCENE FOR DRIVERS
And Hail was an issue as well. These drivers were forced to creep along as golf ball sized hail was hurled at their cars. In Leroy, Illinois...thick fog moved in over an inch of hail. It was a creepy scene that looked more like the ending of a scary movie for drivers left on the roads.
