CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- An armed and barricaded woman at The Reserve at Magnolia Ridge apartment complex in Cary is in police custody.

Police arrested Angel Nicole Bradford, 21, and charged her with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Authorities said the situation ended around 10:15 a.m. Saturday. According to officers, the woman who was barricaded came out peacefully.

Police evacuated the building, but residents were allowed back in after the couple emerged from the apartment.

Police were called to a domestic situation in the 100 block of Lasky Court just after 8 a.m. The situation was reportedly between Bradford and her boyfriend.

Bradford's father, Christopher Layne Bradford Jr., arrived at the apartment, and an argument ensued. Police said the father was shot in the stomach.

The father was taken to WakeMed. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

Angel Bradford is being held at the Wake County Detention Center.
