Durham father charged in death of 8-year-old son

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Police have arrested a Durham father in the death of his 8-year-old son.

Thomas Lee Harrison, 31, is charged with intentional child abuse causing serious injury.

Jonathan Miles Pittman died Sunday at a Raleigh hospital.

Bond for Harrison was set at $1.5 million.

An obituary for the boy said he was also known as "J, Miles, JP, or MileMile" and loved playing soccer and video games.

He is to be laid to rest Friday.
