HOUSTON (WTVD) -- A Triangle family is preparing to watch the Final Four at NRG Stadium in Houston after winning an all-expense paid trip on the Rachel Ray Show.

The Dickerson family was picked to appear on the show after Ashley Dickerson wrote in.

She was asked to whip up a gameday dish and ended up scoring big with her jalapeno pimento cheeseburger.

Ashley and her husband, Jason, were unable to make the trip for personal reasons, so they decided to gift the experience of a lifetime to his parents.

"Oh, I was jumping up and down and screaming," said Cathy Dickerson. "This is the ultimate trip. We would never have been able to do this."

The longtime UNC fans accompanied their 9-year-old grandson, Aiden.

Aiden helped his mother cook the winning burger that landed him right in the middle of the Final Four frenzy in Houston.

"It's really exciting. It's an amazing time," said Aiden.

He's been a Tar Heel fan since birth and was dressed in full gameday gear as he walked into NRG Stadium Saturday afternoon to see his favorite team on the court.

"They're the best!" said Aiden.

The family is documenting the entire trip so Ashley and Jason can also be part of the action.

"We've already been taking pictures and texting back and forth, FaceTiming from the hotel room," said Cathy. "They're here in spirit"
