HOUSTON (WTVD) --N.C. State may not be playing in Houston, but the Wolfpack was represented Monday in the city that had its heart broken by the fabled 1983 Cardiac Pack squad that stunned the University of Houston's dazzling "Phi Slama Jama" team, 54-52.
ABC11's Joe Mazur caught up with N.C. State basketball coach Mark Gottfried in Houston on Monday, 30 years to the day of that monumental and improbable NCAA championship.
The Wolfpack coach met with fans and talked to ABC11 about the team's season, the surprising transfer of the Martin twins and recruiting, among other things.
