Man killed in Wake County head-on crash near Falls Lake

FALLS LAKE, NC (WTVD) -- Troopers say a man was killed just before 8 a.m. Tuesday when his car collided head-on with a truck in northern Wake County next to Falls Lake.

Investigators say a black Acura driven by Bernardo Garcia Murillo, 29, was going west on Rock Spring Church Road near Rogers Quarters Road when he tried to pass in a no passing zone.

He crashed into a white Ford pickup truck driven by Steven Edward Piotrowski, 44, going east. They crashed head-on.

Murillo was killed in the collision and Piotrowski had minor injuries, troopers say.

No charges will be filed.
