Officer saves man's life after Missouri chase and crash

GRANDVIEW, Missouri (WTVD) -- A police officer saved a man's life in Missouri after a high speed chase and crash.

Investigators say the officer tried to pull the man over for a traffic violation, but he took off.

Just seconds later, the driver lost control and his SUV rolled over several times. Video shows the man being thrown out the window and up into the air.

The following police officer ran over to the man - who had no pulse - and started chest compressions until paramedics arrived.

The man is expected to recover. Police say he was driving with a revoked driver's license and speed and alcohol played a part in the crash.
