Cary police looking for purple-glove bandit

The Cary Police Department is looking for a man who robbed a convenience store while wearing distinctive purple gloves.

It happened around 9 p.m. April 1 at High House Food Market in the 800 block of Old Apex Road.

Detectives said the white male came into the store with a knife in his left hand and jumped over the sales counter before taking money.

Nobody was hurt.

He was wearing black pants and a hooded black coat with gray mesh on the shoulders. His head and mouth were covered.
