WILMINGTON, NC (WTVD) -- If you're looking to get out of town this weekend, consider Wilmington where the city is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the battleship North Carolina.
At the time of her commissioning on April 9, 1941, she was considered the world's greatest sea weapon.
As part of the festivities, Marines from Camp Lejeune will be bringing the ship to life.
The event runs from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
