SAN DIEGO, CA -- The U.S. Coast Guard has seized more than 14 tons of cocaine.

The massive quantities of drugs can be seen in photos taken at the San Diego Broadway pier.

The guard has been confiscating them since last January in a drug transit zone off the coast of Central and South America.

In total, the Coast Guard stopped 13 vessels and recovered one bale of illegal drugs.

A Coast Guard commander also says they arrested dozens of smugglers.
