Historic Fayetteville restaurant engulfed in flames

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fire crews battled intense flames at the Haymont Grill in Fayetteville's Historic Haymount Hill area early Saturday morning.

Firefighters made a quick attack on the roof after seeing smoke and heavy fire, but the blaze was too powerful. Emergency crews were forced to evacuate the roof, fire officials said.

There are no known injuries. Fire officials have not determined what caused the blaze.

Haymont Grill is a family-friendly restaurant located at 1304 Morganton Road.
