Durham police charge man in March shooting death

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A man has been charged in connection to the shooting death of Symond Syheed Lewis on March 16.

Police say Darryl Lamond Moye, 19, shot Lewis to death in a parking lot in the 500 block of Hardee Street shortly after 2 a.m.

Moye was already in jail on a prior charge. Police say the incident does not appear to be random.

Officials are still investigating.
