Artist Erykah Badu is under fire after recent comments suggesting that girls skirts in schools should be longer to make sure their male teachers are "not distracted."

The artist was agreeing with an article posted that ruled high school girls in New Zealand would have to lower their skirts to knee level.

In a tweet storm, Badu continues to say that it is natural for a male to be sexually attracted to "women of child bearing age" in short skirts.

"...I am aware that we live in a sex l-driven society. It is everyone's, male and female's, responsibility to protect young ladies...," she tweeted.

Although many people agreed with her tweets, others suggested her message implies that girls are responsible for how men interact and think.

"...But do I think it is unnatural for a heterosexual male 2b attracted to a young woman in a revealing skirt? No. I think it is his nature..," Badu added.

What do you think? Should dress codes be proactive in addressing female attire or is this another sexual double standard?
