RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Officials say a GoTriangle bus was involved in an accident with a van Sunday morning in downtown Raleigh.

Route 100 was headed to downtown from RTP and RDU when it stopped at Hillsborough and Dawson Streets just after 8 a.m.

GoTriangle officials say the initial reports indicate that when the bus was stopped at the light, a van ran a red light on Hillsborough Street and was hit by another car. The collision flipped the van which then hit the bus.

Five passengers were on the bus. One was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The bus had minor damage.

Raleigh police are also investigating.
