Toddlers found wandering in streets after mom goes to Zumba

AUSTIN, Texas -- A Texas mother is accused of leaving her two young children home alone, so she could attend an exercise class.

Police say her 18-month-old and a 2-and-a-half-year-old were found wandering the streets of Austin.

The children's father says his wife, Gisela Sanchez-Flores was late for her Zumba class.

She rushed out, thinking the children would be okay alone because they were sleeping.

But did take a child she was babysitting with her to the class.

A neighbor spotted one of the kids and called 911.

A responding officer found the other child down the street, crying.

They were physically okay. The mom is now charged with a felony.
