FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two sisters born and raised in Louisburg organized a rally outside of the Franklin County Courthouse Friday to show their support for Gov. Pat McCrory and House Bill 2.

Christine Williams and Debra Alaffita are registered democrats, but told the crowd of just over a dozen people, they're throwing their support behind those willing to fight to keep HB2.

"I am a democrat," Williams told ABC11. "However, there are times when democrats need to cross the line, because when it comes down to standing up for God's values. We should not allow our parties to stand between us and God's values."

Morality was a main topic of the rally. Speakers shared their belief that repealing HB2 would lead to a moral and cultural downfall. They urged the crowd to take a vocal stand in support of the legislation.
