Raleigh brewpub victim of hit-and-run
Owner Andrew Leager shows the damage the car did

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A Raleigh brewpub is dealing with new damage just weeks after holding a fundraiser to help rebuild the local hotspot after a water main break.

The Boyland Bridge Brewpub was the victim of a hit-and-run crash just after midnight.

According to the Raleigh police report, two cars collided at the intersection of Boylan Avenue and Hargett Street just after midnight with one of the cars leaving the road.

"A vehicle ran in here... there's skid marks right here," said brewpub owner Andrew Leager. "Tore down a fence, broke off a tree, cracked a wall and broke it over and turned the sprinkler pipe sideways."

Leager has been trying to rebuild his business since the city water main break forced it to close back in February.
