CANARSIE, Brooklyn -- A cat trapped in the undercarriage of a car parked in Brooklyn was rescued by police officers Sunday night.

The tiny black cat somehow got stuck underneath a Lexus sedan on East 86th Street and Avenue J in Canarsie.

Officers from the 69th Precinct used a jack to prop up the car and free the feline.

The lucky cat was adopted by one of the officers.
