CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Chapel Hill fire officials are investigating the cause of an early Sunday morning fire at La Residence on Rosemary Street.

Fire crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the building. They are currently investigating the cause.

The fire damage was contained to the rear of La Rez, but there is reportedly smoke damage throughout the restaurant and bar.

The owners have been notified. CHFD officials will be speaking with the La Rez staff who worked Saturday night.
