Burlington man shot multiple times earlier in week dies

BURLINGTON (WTVD) -- A man shot and wounded in Burlington earlier this week has died at a Chapel Hill hospital.

Burlington police said 21-year-old Kareem L. Johnson was shot several times Monday afternoon and died Wednesday at University of North Carolina Hospitals.

It happened in the 700 block of Tillman Street.

No arrests have been reported.

Police think as many as eight people were involved in a disturbance before Johnson was shot.

Police are investigating whether Johnson's shooting is related to that of a man who was wounded several hours later.
