Suspect turns self in after Goldsboro teen fatally shot

GOLDSBORO (WTVD) -- UPDATE: Jacques Torraine Atkinson turned himself in just after midnight Sunday at the Wayne County Magistrate's Office.

He was served with an outstanding warrant for murder and is being held without bail.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Goldsboro police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was found shot to death Sunday.

It happened in the 900 block of Carver Drive.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Michael Jerome Wimbush dead from gunshot wounds.

After investigating, police identified Jacques Torraine Atkinson, 18, of the 800 block of S. Best Street, as the suspect.

Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
