FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- The family of a teenage girl killed in a horrific crash in Fayetteville spoke to ABC11 about how they're dealing with the tragedy.

17-year-old Kassandra Taylor Jones was 1 of 5 people killed in a three-car crash on Cliffdale Road on Wednesday. The family is in mourning.

"It's just hard. I'm just waking up, hoping she's going to call me any minute," said Kyaira Ancrum, Kassandra's sister. "It's just hard."

The Jones family said Antonio Allen, another one of the people killed in the crash, was Kassandra's boyfriend. Police said they were coming back from a pool party in a Ford Mustang driven by 22-year-old Terek Johnson.

According to authorities, Johnson was speeding and lost control, crossing the center line and slamming into a Kia. The Mustang went airborne and hit a Crown Victoria.

Four passengers in the Mustang and the driver of Kia all died. The driver of the Crown Victoria, Dadadrian Thomas, is recovering. Johnson was charged with DWI and 5 counts of manslaughter.

Kassandra's father, Kenneth Jones, said he had just met Johnson 2 days before the wreck.

"I'm upset, pissed off, confused. I feel lost. All those things all at once," he explained.

The family has a message for everyone on the holiday weekend.

"Nobody should be drinking and driving," said Ancrum. "Can't be getting in a car with someone who's been drinking."

Kassandra's family said the one thing that brings them comfort is that Kassandra and Antonio were together in their final moments.

"I knew she was happy, and I know she didn't go alone. Despite the accident and the horror, she wasn't alone" said Tanessa Jones, her stepmother.
