Body of elderly missing man found in Wake County

WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- A Silver Alert issued Saturday night was cancelled after the Wake County Sheriff's Office said it found the man dead not far from his house.

77-year-old Jerry Roberts had been reported missing and was last seen Saturday afternoon.

Authorities said they found his body near the woods close to his home.

No word yet on the cause of death.
