GOLDSBORO (WTVD) -- The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating two homicides. The two do not appear to be related.

The first happened Friday around 6:30 p.m. Authorities responded to a call at Greg Drive in Goldsboro.

When they arrived, they found the victim, Rand Grady, 53, of Greg Drive. Deputies said Grady and an acquaintance got into a fight and Grady collapsed.

There will be an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Raleigh to determine the cause of death.

The second homicide happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Highway 117 South.

Deputies and EMS found Joshua Omar Forbes, 25, of Day Circle shot to death.

Deputies said Forbes had gone to a residence on Bryan Boulevard and gotten into a confrontation with another person. There was a gunshot, and Forbes ran back to his vehicle and said that he'd been shot, according to authorities.

The others in the vehicle started to take him to the hospital but he died on the way.
