Must-see video: Car flips through the air after crash

DELAND, Florida. (WTVD) -- A dramatic car crash was captured on video in DeLand, Florida last week.

On Friday, surveillance footage recorded the moment when the car went airborne and flipped several times after hitting the ground. It wasn't clear what caused the accident.

Witnesses rushed to the driver's aid, flipping the car right side up in order to get the driver out.

"People came over with fire extinguishers to put out the fire," one bystander said. "We flipped the car over and pulled the guy out so he didn't burn alive."

"I start pulling him out and another guy about my age helps me pull him out of the car," another witness said.

The unidentified driver is currently recovering from unknown injuries. No one else was injured in the crash.
