Goldsboro woman arrested in church break-in, theft

GOLDSBORO (WTVD) -- A Goldsboro woman has been arrested in connection with a July break-in at a Pikeville church.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Christy Renee Spence, 33, was taken into custody Tuesday for the July 17 incident at North East Baptist Church.

Spence, of the 100 block of Tall Pines Place in Goldsboro, was arrested at Food Lion on NC Highway 111.

She is charged with breaking and/or entering a place of worship, larceny after breaking/entering and possession of stolen goods.

Spence is being detained at the Wayne County Detention Center on $15,000 secured bond.
