Man shot in the mouth in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A man was shot in the mouth in Durham on Monday night.

It happened in the 800 block of Liberty Street, near Alston Avenue, closing Liberty Street temporarily.

The victim was conscious and taken to a hospital for treatment, a Durham police spokesman said.

Officers continue to investigate the shooting. No other details were immediately available.
