The incident is now being investigated as a homicide.

Police are trying to identify a motorcyclist who was seen leaving Andy Street and turning onto Bragg Boulevard minutes after the shooting.

A closer look at the suspect.

The motorcyclist was riding a cruiser-style motorcycle and was wearing a bright-colored shirt.

"This is broad daylight," Fayetteville Police Lieutenant Todd Joyce said. "If you saw this motorcycle, this person who had on this bright-colored t-shirt, call us. Let us know what you saw. Because even though this person may think that it's not relevant to the investigation, it can be a small piece of information that can help us solve this case."

Authorities also said they are working to find out whether Taylor knew the shooter in an effort to figure out a motive.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting investigation is asked to contact Detective M. Wooten with the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 391-8630 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).

Crimestoppers information can also be submitted online by completing the anonymous online tip sheet or by text-a-tip on your mobile device by sending a message to 274637 (in the text box type "4Tip" followed by your message).

Editor's note: In the original news release, police incorrectly stated Taylor was a mother of three.
