GREENSBORO (WTVD) -- Teddy Roosevelt was president of the United States when she was born.
And as America is embroiled in the midst of presidential campaigns, Armida Sholar of Greensboro celebrated her 111th birthday.
Sholar was born Aug. 9, 1905. That's seven years before the Titanic made her infamous maiden voyage.
She got married at 18 and became a widow at 43. She raised four children - one of whom is still alive.
She has lived at a nursing home for the last 38 years. The staff there says she has good health and a great attitude.
Happy 111!
