Panthers, Ravens stop game to watch Phelps win
The Charlotte Panthers, Baltimore Ravens stopped their game Thursday night to watch Michael Phelps win Olympic gold

BALTIMORE (WTVD) -- This may be hard for some Panthers fans to believe, but sometimes, it isn't all about football.

Especially during the Olympics.

During the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens preseason game at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday, the game stopped for a brief moment.

It wasn't because of a bad call, but because Michael Phelps was in the process of winning his 22nd Olympic gold medal.

The Ravens ended up beating the Panthers by three points. Read more about the game here.

Phelps ended up winning his 26th overall medal at the Olympics.
