Wake deputies seek gunman in shooting near Zebulon

ZEBULON (WTVD) -- Wake County deputies are still searching for the gunman behind a shooting near Zebulon on Tuesday night.

It happened about 9 p.m. on Parks Village Road about a mile northeast of Zebulon.

When deputies arrived, they found a man shot in the stomach.

He was taken to WakeMed for surgery.

Wednesday evening, the sheriff's office told ABC11 the victim is "stable."

Investigators said they still do not have a motive.
