One in custody after police chase, crash in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A police chase ended in a crash in Durham late Wednesday night.

It happened on North Roxboro Street near Horton Road.

An ABC11 crew at the scene said police officers and state troopers searched the area after the car crashed and a person jumped out and ran.

They soon took one person into custody.

Authorities said that person sustained injuries but did not elaborate.

Law officers have not said what sparked the chase in the first place and the investigation continues.
